WE ARE HIRING
MARKET RESEARCH ANALYST
Executive Search
New York City
Full-Time
Hybrid (3 days/week in-person)
2-3 Years or New Grad
We are seeking a detail-oriented analyst to help us translate our existing body of search work into actionable insights for business development and recruiting. This role will focus on organizing and analyzing client and candidate data, identifying patterns across industries and functions, and creating market maps that guide both new client targeting and candidate outreach. The ideal candidate also brings light marketing and communications sensibilities — able to turn insights into clear, visually compelling summaries that support outreach, presentations, and firm storytelling.
Who this role is for:
Whether you have 2–3 years of experience or you’re a standout recent graduate ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
This role is based in New York City with 3 days a week in person.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Build sector and function-specific “heat maps” that highlight where future client opportunities are most likely to exist
- Support the business development team by identifying high-potential companies for outreach based on prior placements, market trends, and competitive positioning
- Translate industry and sector analyses into candidate target lists, guiding recruiters toward the most relevant talent pools
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets that track clients, industries, placements, and candidate networks
- Assist with research deliverables for client presentations, including market context slides, benchmarking, and competitive landscape overviews
- Assist with client deliverables such as agendas, candidate summaries, and progress updates
Marketing & Communications Support:
- Create simple visual or written summaries of market insights for internal and client-facing use (one-pagers, charts, or slides).
- Help maintain and update firm collateral such as case studies, capability decks, and recent search lists.
- Draft concise internal summaries of research findings for business development meetings or recruiter alignment.
- Ensure consistency in how Forge describes its sector strengths and areas of focus across decks and outreach materials.
- Track noteworthy client successes or milestones that can later be repurposed for marketing or communications.
What we’re looking for:
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn
- Experience with ATS/CRM systems is helpful, but not required
Why join us:
- Direct exposure to leadership at some of the highest profiles companies in the world
- Close mentorship from experienced Partners and Founders
- Room to grow as we continue to expand
- Opportunity to develop skills in marketing, research, search operations, and client management
